Collection

The museum displays an interesting collection of artistic-historical and archaeological heritage witnessing the history of the castle as historical residence of the Earls of Gorizia as from the origins of the city until the XVIII century. The educational section is also quite interesting and is made up of plastic models, philological reproductions of war machines on a 1:1 scale, white weapons (from 1271 until 1500) and Middle-Ages musical instruments.
